Chanel Nelson, RN, is a legal nurse consultant and founder of Garcia MedLegal Consulting, bringing over a decade of healthcare experience across a wide range of clinical settings, including home care, pediatrics, skilled nursing, and neurological rehabilitation. Her professional background includes both direct patient care and care coordination, with experience in roles such as caregiving, care management, recruiting and scheduling, and serving as a clinical coordinator for a neurological rehabilitation organization.
This breadth of experience provides Chanel with a comprehensive understanding of the continuum of care, allowing her to approach medical records with both clinical depth and organizational precision. Her work is grounded in the ability to identify meaningful patterns, recognize gaps in care, and translate complex medical information into clear, structured insights.
Through Garcia MedLegal Consulting, Chanel provides medical record review, chronologies, case analysis, and litigation support services to attorneys handling cases involving complex medical issues. She focuses on helping attorneys efficiently identify case strengths, gaps in care, and key medical events, delivering concise, well-organized, and attorney-ready work product that supports case evaluation and preparation.
Chanel is known for her detail-oriented, reliable, and methodical approach, as well as her ability to work independently while aligning seamlessly with the workflow and expectations of the attorneys and firms she supports. Her goal is to serve as a trusted, professional resource who brings clarity to complex cases and supports informed, efficient decision-making.
She is currently completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Arizona State University and continues to invest in ongoing professional development at the intersection of healthcare and the legal field. Chanel is also actively working toward becoming bilingual in Spanish, with a focus on enhancing communication within both clinical and legal environments.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Chanel has demonstrated strong leadership and academic achievement. She served as nursing class president at Central Arizona College, received the Excellence in Leadership Award, and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
